Action Day: MS Society Mid America Chapter

Tuesday’s MS Action Day in Topeka, KS went really well! Neil Sader had the chance to emcee the luncheon, which was attended by about 35 activists representing The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and 25 senators and legislators to discuss issues facing those living with MS. The main speaker was Kansas Lt. Governor Jeff Colyer. There were also very powerful stories told by two individuals: Karen Cope, who was recently diagnosed with MS, the other was a man who married a woman with MS. “It is amazing the strength people have to cope with the uncertainty and rigors of this disease,” commented Neil. Following the luncheon, Neil was joined with a group and visited with a number of legislators on an individual basis in the Capital building.
